What is Parenting?

Many expectant parents find themselves asking the question, what is parenting? Is it something that requires experience? Or does it come naturally? Millions of questions surface the mind, but not even one comes with an answer. If one follows the definition, it can be defined as an act of raising a child with manners, intellect, and empathy. It’s not a one-rule-fits-all sort of a situation.

This is where effective parenting comes into action; when a child is brought into this world, the parents are responsible for fulfilling all the emotional and physical needs. The child grows up to be a reflection of the parents. It is vital to mould yourself into such a canvas that your child only adapts to the exemplary qualities and grows into a person with empathy. Sure, it is a difficult journey but planning about parenting at the earliest makes it reasonably easy.

The Journey of Pregnancy:

The First Trimester:

The initial three months of pregnancy are regarded as the first trimester. It is considered to be the most challenging trimester as the body adjusts to the changes being made inside the body. Morning sickness, mood swings, fatigue, and bloating are heavily involved in the first trimester. Furthermore, the diet should be full of nutrition. Supplements are also recommended, and signing up for a 90-day prescription program for medicines can be beneficial as it ensures an adequate supply for the first trimester. However, consulting the doctor before taking any supplements is highly crucial.

The Second Trimester:

The second trimester includes the 4th, 5th, and 6th months of the pregnancy. The risk of miscarriage is reduced to an extent, and a lot of fetal development takes place. Bloating does not leave the side of a pregnant woman in the second trimester and invites more of its annoying friends like backaches, heartburn, growing appetite, etc. Just like the first trimester, a healthy diet is very essential here as well.

The Third Trimester:

The third trimester calls upon a lot of anxiety as it is the final trimester, and only three months are left before the baby is born. It isn’t easy to manage the third trimester in physical aspects as the body has grown significantly, and there’s increased urination accompanied by cramps, headache, shortness of breath, etc. All the final preparations are done, and all a mother has to do is wait.

Conclusion:

Parenting is a crucial task as the future of the child lays in your hands. It’s one hell of a task, but proper planning can help make it easier. Sit down with your partner and discuss the parenting style you want to adopt. Don’t wait till the baby is born as it’s more chaotic than one expects it to be; start as soon as you find out you are expecting.
