danger signs of twin pregnancy

Being pregnant with twins does not always imply that your pregnancy will be difficult. Women carrying twins, on the other hand, are more likely to have issues such as high blood pressure and premature birth. As a result, all twin pregnancies are classified as high-risk. Women expecting twins need specific prenatal care due to the increased risk of problems. There are some danger signs that a pregnant woman carrying twins should be aware of.

Attending all of your prenatal visits and scans is the best approach to making your twin pregnancy as trouble-free as possible. Throughout your pregnancy, a specialized team will care for you and your babies. They will be on the lookout for issues using tests and scans to ensure that any problems are identified as soon as possible.

Danger Signs To Watch Out For When Pregnant With Twins

Not all twin pregnancies come with increased risks or difficulties. Many pregnancies involving more than two people go off without a hitch. On the other hand, it’s smart to keep an eye out for the following typical warning signs:

1. Bleeding Is Always Top One Of Danger Signs

It is very important to keep a check on the kind of bleeding you suffer during various stages of pregnancy. (In many cases there will be no bleeding at all). If you experience vaginal bleeding with cramps during the first trimester or early second trimester, it may be a symptom of miscarriage. During the third trimester bleeding with abdominal pain may be due to placental abruption. In any of the cases, you must contact your doctor immediately.

2. Excessive Nausea or Vomiting

Excessive vomiting..

Nausea is a common symptom of pregnancy but it gets worse during twin pregnancy. You may not feel like eating or drinking anything which may result in dehydration. Speak to the doctor for overcoming it.

3. Significant Decrease In Baby’s Movement

There is no thumb rule attributed to the activity level of the babies, but a woman carrying babies in her womb will always know if the babies are less active someday. If this decrease in activity continues for two days at a go, you must speak to your medical caregiver immediately.

4. Severe Headaches

If you suffer from severe headaches, sudden swelling of your hands and face, or the problem of blurry vision, it is something that needs attention.

5. Exessive Tiredness

Tiredness is common during pregnancy but if you feel too exhausted, fatigued and continually feel the loss of energy, you better consult with a doctor.

6. Contractions

Contractions may occur in the third trimester which may be due to preterm labor. Many pregnant women get confused about true labor and false labor. Generally, false labor contractions do not continue for more than 2 hours. Also, they do not increase in intensity. However, the true labor contractions occur after every 10 minutes and keep on increasing in intensity.

Try not to worry too much and keep yourself calm during your pregnancy.
